Firefighters, police officials and ambulances are on the scene of a fire at an under-construction villa complex in Duhail, near Landmark Mall.
Black smoke from the fire, which took place on Khafji Street, down the road from Riviera Gardens, could be seen billowing across the northern part of Doha this afternoon.
Doha News‘ Omar Chatriwala, who was near the fire, said it originated from an under-construction development called Interlaken Gardens, and is currently being hosed down. He added that no one appears to be injured or could be seen receiving treatment from emergency responders.

The Ministry of Interior on Twitter has confirmed that the fire has been contained and that there were no injuries:
