Though many residents don’t consider Qatar their long-term home, the country is doing a better job of enticing skilled expats to stick around, a report released earlier this year has found.
French business school Insead said the Gulf country’s developed infrastructure, medical services and lack of personal taxes put Qatar 26th in the world in retaining expats, up from 41st a year earlier. Overall, Qatar ranked 24th in Insead’s broader Global Talent Competitiveness Index, an improvement of one spot over last year.
