Starting this fall, a new system of national tests will be introduced for students at Qatar’s government-run independent schools, the country’s education minister has announced.

As part of an ongoing attempt to raise academic performance in state schools, these tests aim to highlight students’ weaknesses and improve teachers’ skills, QNA reported Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al-Hammadi as saying.
