Thousands of Qatar residents congregated at mosques and prayer areas around the country early this morning for Eid prayers, beginning this year’s Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
The prayers took place around 5:15am, and in some areas, women and children distributed balloons and candy to young ones.
Throughout the day, some residents said they’ve been taking it easy, deterred by the high winds and blowing dust, which severely reduced visibility on the roads this afternoon:
