Some 18 months after it was damaged by a kitchen fire at McDonalds, one of Qatar’s largest malls has reopened its main food court to shoppers.
Not all the food stalls at the third-floor dining area near the cinema are ready for business yet, but signs indicate some newer restaurants are coming, including an Arby’s and a Captain Billy’s Fish and Chips. An Atilla Mongolian Grill has also joined the food court alongside Shater Abbas and the usual McDonalds, KFC and Burger King.
City Center’s manager, Olaf Kindt, had previously told Doha News that the food court was delayed in part due to a general upgrade of the mall’s facilities.
As an additional benefit to the mall’s shoppers this holiday season, City Center has reopened its upstairs parking facility, with an additional level.
Has this eased congestion for you? Thoughts?
