Senior officials from Saudi Arabia, Russia, Venezuela and others are meeting in Doha today to presumably discuss the “devastating supply glut” in oil, Reuters reports.

The price of oil surged at the news, but the newswire said the energy ministers will likely not discuss changes to production levels, as those are decided by OPEC.
