Eager for some competition, a crowd of young automotive enthusiasts braved last night’s hot, sticky weather to try out the new outdoor karting and mini Moto track at the Losail Circuit Sports Club.

Last night, dozens of mostly male participants could be seen zipping around the track during the karting races. Many had brought their own helmets, though some were available to borrow onsite.

Some participants also brought their own bikes to motor around the track.

The activities are aimed at wooing more young people to the circuit, organizers previously said.

The track is open from 6:30pm to 10:30pm every Thursday and Friday evening until July 1 (except in Ramadan, when it’s open from 8:30pm to 11:30pm). Each session lasts for 15 minutes and costs QR100 per person.
