A new multimillion-dollar voice, video and data terminal has been constructed at the Al Udeid Air Base, according to an American military publication, as part of the latest upgrade to the “regional nerve center” for US-led strikes on ISIL.

In late 2013, officials signed a new pact that will see the US continue to operate and maintain troops at the base, located southwest of Doha, through at least 2024.
