The former site of Al Rayah Driving School in Al Messila will be demolished and rebuilt as a residential compound, according to contractors’ signs that have gone up this week.
Preparation for the demolition of the site already appears to be underway.
The administrative buildings of the driving school have all been emptied and construction vehicles could be seen inside the complex, breaking down some of the previous infrastructure.
Doha News saw a few workers gathering up debris, although full demolition does not yet appear to have started.
Last month, the driving school closed its operations on the central Doha site overnight, leaving many students and teachers confused.
The school, which taught up to 300 students an hour, is now operating on the other side of town, reportedly on the site of Dalla Driving Academy in the Industrial area.
