- Doha Film Institute is screening the next film in its Japanese Cinema Showcase, Always – Sunset on Third Street .
Synopsis: Set in 1958 as Japan emerges from the shadow of war, ‘Always – Sunset on Third Street’ follows the lives of a group of people in a small Tokyo neighbourhood on the cusp of major change.
Showings are at 7pm on Thursday night and 4pm + 7pm on Friday, all at the Museum of Islamic Art auditorium.
- Katara Culture Village will be hosting a motivational lecture by Farouk Al-Zoman, the first Saudi man to have climbed Mount Everest. The talk will be in Arabic on Saturday, 6:30pm at Katara Drama Theatre – Bldg 16.
