In the continuing saga, shopkeepers at Souq Najada – the “mobile phone souq” – have been given an extension to relocate their businesses.

The previously stated deadline was just days away, on April 1, and shops were reportedly offering huge sales to liquidate their stocks.

The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has now extended that deadline to June 1, the Peninsula reports this morning, and ordered a halt to the heavy discounts being offered.
