For the third year running, Hyatt Plaza is holding a fast-a-thon to raise money for Qatar Red Crescent’s work in Niger.
On the 21st of July, all participants – who must be non-Muslim – will fast from dawn until sunset. A free Ifthar party will be held for them in the mall’s food court at 6pm.
The Qatar Red Crescent will donate QR200 to the people of Niger for every person who takes part.
“We believe Fast-a-thon, in every sense, promotes universal brotherhood and creates a platform for people from various cultures to come together and join hands for a noble cause,” said Fuad Shaqadan, Hyatt Plaza’s assistant marketing manager.
Hyatt Plaza and QRC have also launched a “Shop to Donate” campaign, where participating shops will donate a percentage of their earnings to charity during the holy month.
What do you think of the fast-a-thon? Will you be taking part?
