Qatari fined 800,000 QAR for selling visas, sponsorship
The ministry of interior has fined a Qatari man 800,000 QAR for illegally selling sponsorship – charging fees to arrange visas for independent workers to come into the country, the Peninsula newspaper reports.
It is illegal for sponsors to bring in workers who are not actually their employees, and the Interior Ministry considers it a form of human trafficking.
