Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, the new Deputy Prime Minister, announced the decision at a meeting of the Cabinet yesterday.

The new committee, which will be part of the Ministry of Business and Trade, has the mandate of “monitoring the prices of goods and services and implementing appropriate mechanism to maintain stability.”
