Qatar to launch anti-doping lab in drive against drug use in sports
A state-of-the-art anti-doping lab will open in Qatar later this year with the stated aim of eliminating the use of illegal performance-enhancing drugs in all sports in the country.
The facility will be in the Aspire Zone sports complex and will also seek to raise public awareness about drug use, according to the report in the Gulf Times.
Dr Mohamed al-Sayrafi, the general manager of the uplcomg Anti-Doping Lab Qatar, announced the new measure at a symposium in The Torch hotel yesterday on ”Biomedical and Translational Research.”
