A Doha-based weekly has produced the world’s largest replica of a newspaper supplement, earning it a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records.
The replica, which measures 6.4 meters by 4.2 meters, was created by The Weekly, a free English-language classifieds tabloid. According to Qatar Tribune, it took Malix Printing some five days to print the 24 pages needed to set the record.
This brings Qatar’s tally of Guinness world records to 26, the newspaper reports. Among the records set in recent years:
- Largest soccer ball (Doha Bank);
- Longest thank-you letter to a ruler (new category);
- Largest monopoly game; and
- Biggest squash racket ever built.
Also in the works this Ramadan is Katara’s attempt to produce a world record for the painting of a million dots (though we’re not sure how they’re going to count that one up).

Congrats! Thoughts?
