With the Olympic Games just two weeks away, the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has announced the opening of its home-away-from-home in Brazil: Bayt Qatar.
Following a similar hospitality venture in London in 2012, Bayt Qatar’s Brazil venue is designed to “bring the soul of Qatar to the heart of Rio,” according to the QOC.
Located in Casa Daros, a former museum, the venue will be the setting for a special Garangao night for children, an outdoor souq and special exhibitions and film screenings.
Bayt Qatar will be open in Rio from Aug. 4 to 21, and anyone interested in visiting can find out what’s on via the Bayt Qatar website.
