Qatar’s Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) has ordered Ikea Qatar to stop selling Malm drawer units and to remove them from its Doha showroom, following reports of the furniture tipping over and killing six children in other countries. IKEA issued a recall of the drawers in the US and Canada last week.

The Qatar order affects six of the Malm models in different shapes and colors and which are detailed in a statement on the MEC’s website. Customers who bought them should return them to the store to swap for another item or to get a full refund, the ministry said.
