Syria, global terrorism and bilateral ties were the focus of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s first meeting with the UK’s new Prime Minister Theresa May.

Over the summer, May replaced David Cameron, who resigned after the UK voted to leave the EU. The Emir and May met in London and also discussed bolstering education, research, development, economy and investment opportunities between Qatar and the UK, QNA reports.
