The final super moon of the year made its debut this week, and was a stunning sight for the Qatar residents who looked to the sky last night, as shown by these photos submitted to the Doha News Flickr Pool.
Super moons are full moons that appear to be especially large and bright because they occur when the moon’s orbit brings it closest to Earth.
Last night’s moon wasn’t as large at the one that appeared in early August, but was unique because it fell so close to the autumn equinox – which also made it a Harvest Moon.
Did you catch a glimpse? Thoughts?
