PHOTOS: Smoke rises over Doha’s Bin Mahmoud area due to house fire

Thick black smoke billowed over the Doha horizon this evening, after a fire broke out in the Bin Mahmoud Area around 5pm.

It isn’t yet clear what caused the blaze, but firefighters were seen rushing toward the area via C-Ring road.

One resident said it looked like it was labor housing, and that it was brought under control pretty quickly:

Minutes later, the Ministry of Interior confirmed it had doused the fire at a house in the area.

It said there were no injuries.
