Some 315 fencers from 50 countries competed in Qatar this past week for the 2014 Grand Prix and Fencing World Cup. The tournament, which was held from Jan. 16 to 19, concluded yesterday at the Gate Mall.

Romania’s Maria Udrea won the women’s final, and Park Sangyoung of Korea took the men’s final in terms of individual scores. The victors take home $10,000, while the runners-up get $5,000.
