From a relaxing getaway to splashing fun in Qatar’s biggest waterparks, Doha News brings you the best guide for your Eid plans!
In less than a week, millions of Muslims will gather worldwide to celebrate one of the most significant days in the Muslim calendar, Eid Al-Adha.
The Islamic holiday, also known as the ‘Festival of Sacrifice’, will fall on Saturday 9th July, this year.
The holy day starts with Eid prayers, which is typically 15 minutes after sunrise in Qatar, followed by the Udhiyah—the slaughtering of an animal (usually a sheep, goat, or cow) to mark the sacrifice to God made by Prophet Ibrahim.
The meat is then shared with family or distributed to those in need.
To celebrate the festivities, Qatari authorities declare the days of Eid a national holiday, giving all residents and citizens a chance to spread joy and spend time with their loved ones.
However, figuring out what to do can be a confusing errand. For that reason, Doha News has highlighted five ideas for you to make your Eid plans extra special
