Starting tonight, several streets in Qatar’s Industrial Area will be closed for an entire year as Ashghal works to increase capacity on the roads and improve the area.

In a statement, the public works authority said that streets 658, 656, 654 and 660 will be shut. Motorists instead can use the one lane that’s open on Street 653 heading toward West Industrial St.

Additionally, streets 655, 657 and 659 will be open to traffic in both directions and will provide access to residential buildings and businesses in the area.

Commuters are asked to follow posted speed limit signs and other traffic directions for safety purposes.
