The weekend is set for a dusty start, with high winds and low visibility expected through tomorrow, the Qatar Meteorology Department has said.
Both the MET and the Ministry of Interior are warning drivers to proceed cautiously on the roads today as winds kick up dust and contribute to overcast conditions.
Visibility is low due to dust in some of the external roads. Motorists and road users are request to take care.
But the weather should improve tomorrow, with reduced winds, and clear up by Saturday, a MET forecaster told Doha News.Â
He added that after a week of relatively hot weather, the thermometer is starting to drop again. Today, a high of 27C (80F) and a low of 17C (63C) are expected, and tomorrow, the high will be 24C (75F), with a low 15C (59F).
Will the wind and dust affect your weekend plans?
