Qatar residents, expect to ring in the new year by bundling up as a cold spell moves over the country.

Temps are forecasted to fall to 13C (55F) this week and stay that way until at least next Saturday, a Qatar Meteorology spokesman has said.

On the plus side, visibility is expected to be high this week and the windy conditions of the past few days are supposed to calm down.
