Chinese American architect I.M. Pei, who designed Qatar’s Museum of Islamic Art, turns 99 today. He became famous for designing the Pyramid at the Louvre in Paris and the Bank of China in Hong Kong.

On Instagram, Qatar Museums chairperson Sheikha Al Mayassa wished him “good health, wellness and longevity” and thanked him for “one of the most beautiful museums in the world.” Happy Birthday!
