Cultural Village Foundation Katara is set to kick off the fourth edition of International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S’hail), which will take place from October 20-24.
Calling all falcon enthusiasts: the fourth edition of the famous International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S’hail) is set to kick off this October, promoting one of the most prominent activities in rich Arab heritage.
The exhibition, arguably one of the biggest annual events organised by Katara, is set to take place from October 20-24, 2020.
For this year, entry will be completed through e-registration and pre-booking via the S’hail 2020 website to maintain the health and safety of all amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
S’hail was established in 2017 as a globally recognised platform and is best known for hunting and falconry. It aims to preserve and highlight the art of hunting and falconry by organising world-class exhibitions, awareness programs, and supporting educational and environmental initiatives, both nationally and internationally.
Every year, the exhibition attracts merchants and buyers from all over the world who usually attend to learn more about the latest technologies in the field. Just last year, more than 19 countries participated in the exhibition, which attracted around 128,000 visitors in just five days.

This year, the event will provide an opportunity for some 112 companies from 13 countries including Kuwait, US, UK and Spain, to display their best offerings during the exhibition, Katara said in a statement.
Mohamed Abdulatif al-Misnad, deputy chairman of the organising committee of S’hail 2020, said all necessary preparations are being made – including precautionary measures – to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus. Social distancing, mask wearing and a green Ehteraz status are required to attend.
In order to reduce direct interaction among participants, hunting enthusiasts will also be able to take part in an online falcon auction through a special smartphone application. In addition, the transactions will be conducted through bank transfers to avoid touching cash or bank cards.
Participants will also get the chance to win a prize of QR 20,000 for the most beautiful commercial stall, in addition to the most beautiful falcon veil, with three prizes allocated for the three best designs.
