No, the Canadian Embassy in Qatar is not open yet, but is under construction in Tornado Tower. An opening date hasn’t been set yet, but Embassy officials in Kuwait assure us things are moving along.

Here’s the note they sent us earlier today:

Hello,

There is no fixed date yet for the opening of the Embassy.

The embassy will be in Tornado Tower, 30th floor but it is still under construction.

We have already one admin assistant, one trade commissioner, a consul and an ambassador, but not yet working officially.

The opening of the Embassy will be broadcasted to all canadians registered on www.travel.gc.ca
