The bad news first: Today is going to be wet-blanket hot, with conditions turning very windy and dusty by the afternoon and temperatures in Doha reaching a high of 32C (90F).
But the silver lining is that humid, cloudy conditions will yield to rain later this week.
According to local forecasters, scattered showers are expected to hit Qatar anytime from tonight to Friday.

In a statement, the Qatar Meteorology Department (MET) said that at first, the rain is likely to affect the northern and western regions of the country.
But the precipitation will extend to most areas by Thursday and Friday, and may include thunderstorms.
Speaking to Doha News, Steff Gaulter, senior meteorologist at Al Jazeera English, confirmed that the forecasted rain looks heavy.
She added that the showers should bring cooler temperatures, and that summer isn’t here yet.
