A Bangladeshi woman who has been hospitalized with serious injuries after a weekend road accident has not been told that the crash killed her husband and 10-year-old son, local media reports.
Shahida Parveen’s other son survived the accident, which took place early Saturday morning in Al Khor when their Toyota Prado spun out of control, hit a lamp post and rolled over.
The driver of the vehicle and three other passengers were discharged after treatment, while the driver’s five-year-old son remains in intensive care, the Peninsula reports.
Relatives opted not to tell Parveen, who fractured a rib, hurt her left leg and suffered a cut on her head, about her husband and son’s deaths until she regains some of her strength.
Shakil Khaled, 45, was a senior executive with Commercialbank at its Risk Department. Ameed Khaled, 10, was fourth-grader at DPS-Modern Indian School.
Arrangements are being made to send their bodies to Chittagong in Bangladesh.Â
