Grocery clerk in Bin Mahmud killed while trying to stop non-paying customer
A 23-year-old Sri Lankan grocery store clerk has reportedly died after trying to stop a non-paying customer from driving away, Gulf Times reports.
Mohamed Murshed was run over by that car after trying to cling onto its side-glass window at around 9:45pm on Friday in Bin Mahmud.
He died of severe head injuries, the report said.
Sources told GT that the customer ordered soft drinks before fleeing the scene without paying.
Gulf Times reports:
…The motorist, reportedly driving a four wheel, sped away.
The shop owner said Murshed had been working for him for about two years.
He said there had been several incidents of customers leaving without making payments for purchases.
