In the latest round of diversions at Civil Defense roundabout, Ashghal has announced a 24-hour closure of Mohammed bin Thani St., heading westbound from the Corniche.

The road will close from Monday morning (Aug. 29) until the morning of Aug. 30 in what the public works authority said is one of the final stages of converting the busy roundabout to a signal-controlled intersection.

The eastbound lanes, heading towards the Corniche, will remain open during the works. Ashghal previously said reconstruction of the new junction will wrap up by the end of September.
