The highly anticipated third annual Doha Tribeca Film Festival kicks off tonight, with the (unfortunately) sold out worldwide premiere of Black Gold. If you plan to partake in this week’s festivities, here’s what you need to know:
Venue: Katara Cultural Village is where most of the action is happening, but City Center will also screen some films in its theaters. More information here.
Program: Here’s a rundown of what films are playing, when and where, as well as how to get tickets. DTFF is also offering a host of classes, panel discussions and family events, all of which you can find out more about here.
Parking: One word – carpool! There will be no public parking available inside of Katara. Visitors will have to park in a designated area adjacent to the village, and shuttles will be running from there to various festival locations all week. Buses will also be available to pick up visitors from City Center Doha, the Ritz-Carlton and the W Hotel. For a map of the routes and for more info, click here.
Mobile app: There is a lot to remember about this five-day festival! Click here to download the free DTFF app for info about films, venues, and timings and an interactive map, as well as some sharing tools.
Celebrities: Expect to see more than a few familiarly famous faces this week, including Black Gold stars Antonio Banderas and Freida Pinto, Omar Sharif, Robin Wright and Rob Lowe.
We’d love to hear about your experiences throughout the festival, so please keep us posted on the good, the bad and the ugly! Also, let us know if you spot anyone special – submit your photos here or send us a tweet, and we’ll publish the best ones!
