Doha Park, the six-week festival at the Doha Exhibition Center, has announced it is cutting ticket prices by 50 percent on Sundays-Wednesdays.

The move is a response to public complaints that fees at the event, organized by the Qatar Tourism Authority, were too high.

A press release from QTA said a special offer was also being introduced: Buy 150QR worth of games and rides coupons, receive another 150QR of coupons free (which should apply for all days).

Some 22,000 people have attended the festival since it opened a week ago, organizers said, and six new rides are being added to the park.
