Organizers of the Middle East’s first Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic program have added an extra show to opening day in Qatar due to popular demand.
Tickets for the new show, which will be held at 3:30pm on Thursday, June 13, go on sale tomorrow (Monday, June 3). The other seven shows have already sold out, with some 32,000 tickets being snapped up by Qatar residents over the past two weeks.
Building ice rink
All of Disney’s favorite characters will perform during the 90-minute shows, which run from June 13 to June 16 at the Qatar National Convention Center. That includes Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, and protagonists from the Little Mermaid, the Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, among others.
Later this week, the crew that will set up the ice rink will begin arriving in Qatar, a spokeswoman told Doha News. There, engineers will build the ice from scratch using some 48,000 liters of water.
Ticket prices are the same as for the other shows: Regular seats are QR150, QR250 & QR350; and VIP seats are QR500 while VVIP (rink-side) is QR1000 apiece.
