The First Conference of Speakers of the Arab Parliaments has condemned the abduction of Qatari hunters in Iraq, urging the release of “innocent citizens who entered the Iraqi territory legitimately and legally” and stressing “full solidarity with the Qatari government and support all actions taken by it to secure the release of its citizens,” QNA reports.
A group of at least 26 Qataris were kidnapped in Iraq in December while on a hunting expedition, and the party is thought to have included children.
