Residents of the Abu Hamour area are appealing to authorities to relocate the cattle market away from their homes, especially with summer months approaching and the likelihood of its undesirable odor reaching nearby homes.

The Gulf Times reports that there is a plan to move the cattle market, citing Central Municipal Council member Saleh al-Merri, but offers no concrete details. A new market would apparently be larger and comply with health and environmental standards.
