Katara Cultural Village is calling on all creative talents to submit their logo ideas for the cultural hub’s first-ever International Arabian Horse Festival in February.
With the first edition of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival kicking off in February, the Cultural Village Foundation — Katara — announced an open call for creative artists to get involved in designing a logo for the event.
The “Logo Design Competition” is open to all artists residing in Qatar, giving locals a chance to participate in the festival that is expected to rake in thousands of spectators.
The winner of the best logo design will also be awarded a hefty QR10,000 prize to take home, Katara said.

However, in order to win, the design must reflect and express the main idea of the festival, which focuses on interest in Arabian horses. The design must also tick off three boxes: simple, creative, and one of a kind, the cultural hub said.
A maximum of three designs can be submitted by each contestant, whether individual or group.
To ensure that the design is not plagiarised, each contestant is required to provide a certificate stating details of the intellectual property to confirm the design has not been adapted or copied from another logo.
Participants are also required to provide personal information, including name, residency permit number, address, phone number, e-mail, and bank account number.
The deadline for submitting logo designs is Sunday, October 4 at 2pm, Doha time.
