The Qatari artist’s exhibition is called ‘Asma Al Mannai: Colourful Moments’ and will run until Oct 24.
Asma Al Mannai’s first solo exhibit, featuring a collection of passing moments and experiences, opened at the Doha First Station this week as a part of its Artist in Residence program.
The exhibit will run from 9am – 7pm Saturday through Thursdays and 1:30pm-7pm on Fridays in Gallery 4 at the Fire Station. It is expected to last until October 24.

Through a series of paintings and drawings, ranging from reality and modernity to the simple and the complex, the collection reflects on moments inspired by Al Mannai’s time while in residence at Cité internationale des Arts in Paris in 2019, as part of the Fire Station’s international exchange program.
“Each of our experiences differ in place and time, existing in parallel worlds. These combined moments speak of time and feelings occurring over days and years. I contemplate these moments experienced through our reality and imagination, freezing them through a photograph or painting,” Al Mannai said.
