To make way for the upcoming Dukhan Highway, Ashghal will permanently close the two-lane road linking Slope Roundabout to Al Gharafa Roundabout near Sidra Medical and Research Center starting Monday, Aug. 26.

Motorists heading north between the two roundabouts will be diverted onto a new three-lane road that runs parallel to Al Gharafa Street. Southbound traffic will continue as usual, Ashghal said in a statement.

The public works authority is now running major roadwork operations in several high-traffic areas in Qatar, including on the Corniche, near the Church and in the Katara/Pearl area.
