A mammoth government cleaning campaign launched last month has led to 3,338 abandoned vehicles and 6,685 tons of waste being removed from the Industrial Area, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has said.

The effort, which is scheduled to end in July, has also led to nearly QR275,000 in fines being levied, the ministry said in a Facebook post this morning.
