Strong winds are expected to sweep the country starting this afternoon, causing temperatures to fall to as low as 20C (68F) during the day in Doha.
That’s a big drop from the unseasonably high temps Qatar saw over the past few days, including a high of 29C (84F) yesterday.
According to the Qatar Meteorology Department (MET), windspeeds will reach up to 35 knots (65km/hour) this week.

This will kick up dust and decrease visibility on the roads, forecasters have warned.
The windy conditions will peak on Thursday and Friday, and residents are urged to be cautious and avoid sea activities during this time, the MET added.
