For the first time this year, Qatar is expected to see temperatures rise to the low 40Cs (104F), forecasters have said.
According to the Qatar Meteorology Department, that spike could happen as early as today:

However, Steff Gaulter, senior meteorologist at Al Jazeera English, forecasts that this year’s blistering high will happen on Saturday:
On Saturday temperatures in #Doha are likely to reach 40C (104F) for the first time this year 🙁

Gaulter told Doha News that this is the first time in five years that Qatar has seen such high temperatures so early in the year.
“The last time it got to 40C in April was 2009,” she said.
After a sweltering few days, however, the heat should abate a bit, and fall back down to the mid- to high 30Cs (90Fs), according to Weather.com.
