Before moving ahead on construction of a new World Cup stadium in Al Rayyan, the government is asking expats and locals who live in that municipality and the surrounding areas for feedback on the project.
The anonymous five-minute survey asks respondents about their exercise habits, sports preferences and what types of developments they would like to see pop up next to the stadium (mall, bike track, restaurants, etc).
The survey, which is being conducted by the Qatar Statistics Authority in conjunction with the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, concludes on June 16.
A Q22 spokesman told Doha News:Â
The survey aims to gather the relevant information required to assist in the decision-making process concerning the precinct of the future stadium site and to ensure that new urban development in the area leaves a lasting social, economic and sporting legacy for citizens and residents.
