A new poll of young Qatari adults has found a military career to be the most commonly cited ideal job for nationals, with many aspiring to join the armed forces as well as the police and Civil Defense departments.
Some 46 percent of respondents named the military in a survey of 300 Qataris under the age of 30 by Oxford Strategic Consulting. The poll also found that a desire to help their country and contribute to society was almost as important of a motivation as money, with 57 percent and 58 percent of respondents citing those factors, respectively.
