Supreme Council of Health warns public to steer clear of certain herbal slimming supplements
The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) is issuing a warning against a number of herbal dieting products that are being privately consumed in Qatar.
SCH says it has found Sibutramine, an appetite suppressant linked to an increased chance of heart attacks and strokes, in the following products: Fat-burning and Slimming Green Tea (American product), Coffee Fast (Chinese), Brazilian Slimming Coffee (American), and Green Coffee 800 (American).
The products are not licensed for sale in the country, but SCH says they are being brought in via private parcels (courier, luggage etc), and are not as natural as the packaging claims.
Have you used any of those products?Â
