Some 240 competitors, including Minister of Justice Hasan Bin Abdullah Al-Ghanem, raced up 51 flights of stairs today during the second annual Torch-Doha Hotel Staircase Run.

German Thomas Dold held on to first place in the professional’s category again this year, climbing the 1,304 stairs in six minutes and 31 seconds.

Czech expat Jiri Vysteijn won first place in the men’s category for crossing the finishing line in just under eight minutes. American Elizabeth Cothran Isom took first place in the women’s category at 9:25.
