W Motors has locked in its first buyer after unveiling the Arab world’s first supercar at this week’s 2013 Qatar Motor Show, which concludes tonight.

The Dubai-based company’s Lykan Hypersport, whose first car is currently in production, comes with diamond, gold and platinum-crusted interiors – and an asking price of $3.5 million.

There’s no word yet on who has bought the first one – likely for a down payment of about $1 million – but the company’s co-owner previously told Doha News that it was choosing its customers carefully.

“It’s the first Arab car, we want Arabs driving our car,” Sari El Khalil said.

He added that only seven Lykans will be produced overall.
