Those who were up late last night caught quite a show when short but intense thunderstorms rolled through Qatar around 2:30am.
Lightning, thunder and rain pounded the country briefly before retreating. Many who slept through the night woke to sunny skies, completely unaware of the storm.
According to the Qatar Meteorology Department, there’s a chance of scattered rain in some parts of the country today.

But for Doha, it’s going to be a hot, bright Saturday, with temperatures reaching 27C (81F).
